MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major global inroads into the Latin pop culture. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. In 2017, he released ADN The First Long-Player to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. This album peaked at eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. Later in the year, he teamed up with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca, a Top Five hit. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina in the following year. The singer appeared in 2021 in a duet with TINI on her streaming smash single Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo came from a musical family the mother of his younger brother and father are both musicians. In his interviews, he's described the music he plays as a compulsory activity. He learned how to play the saxophone, guitar, the keyboard and the ukulele when he was a young child. While his initial career choice was a career as a vet His brother Julian got him to attend singing lessons with the help of a Cuban teacher and the end result personally discovering his talent as a singer altered the course of his life.
