Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico was born into an adored family of musicians. As a child, she was inspired by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the classic romantic, ranchero, and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic performances. She was taught by her mother to sing, but she began more intensive training in vocals by Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera singer and tenor. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. Her early professional career included performances with a variety of orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. In 2000 she moved back to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007 she moved to her new home in Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. In addition to being a local performer and instructor the passion for art and music has her involved in a range of projects. Ana is also a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, to inspire a love, especially among the younger generation, for keeping this music vibrant.
